Hi all, I've created a partition on /dev/hda2, then: mke2fs -o hurd /dev/hda2 mount /dev/hda2 hurd cd hurd tar --same-owner -zxvpf ../gnu-19990907.tar.gz
cat grub.fd0 >/dev/fd0 I've restarted the system and at the grub prompt: root=(hd0,1) it worked. kernel=/boot/gnumach.gz root=hd0s2 -s File not found. If I copy the directory 'boot' in 'boot2' or 'boot3' or any other name and at the grub prompt I make: kernel=/boot2/gnumach.gz root=hd0s2 -s then it find the file. There's the same problem with /boot/serverboot.gz The strange thing is that I've tried to install HURD in a virtual machine with vmware and in this case it find the files! Can you help me? Thanks -- M.M.C.F.D.M.C.S.E.F.
