Yes!, I have the hurd sucessfully installed from the tarball. I now how a tons of questions:
How do you have your development environment set up? Do most of you use a cross compiler from a Linux, or native hurd gcc, or both? Can I use apt to get hurd debs, dselect? Should I get and setup the ghhk? Are you actually able to install all of the hurd debs on the debian server? I see that some are just symbolic links to woody debs. Is there a later version of X that runs on the hurd? I have a Rage mobility chipset that is only supported by XFree 3.3.6, so it seems that I may be out of luck there. Well that's all I have to ask, hope I didn;t as too many questions. Bye, Dan -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Daniel E.
