Hello, I tryed the GNU/Hurd ppp port, but I can't reproduce the configuration explained in `examples/ppp/ppp.conf.hurd.virtual.link'.
Following the istruction I made the those steps: 1) hurd-developer:~/src/ppp# settrans -acp /tmp/foo /hurd/pfinet -i tun1 hurd-developer:~/src/ppp# ps -ef | grep tun1 root 419 1 - 0:00.06 /hurd/pfinet -i tun1 root 421 334 p2 0:00.01 grep tun1 So now the translator is up and running 2) configured /etc/services and /etc/inetd.conf hurd-developer:~/src/ppp# telnet 0 ppp-in Trying 0.0.0.0... Connected to 0. Escape character is '^]'. ~#À!}!}!} }8}(}"}'}"}"}&} } } } }!}$}%Ü}%}&}$<vÞî}/~ telnet> close Connection closed. 3) running ppp: hurd-developer:~/src/ppp# /sbin/ppp gateway Working in interactive mode Error: iface_Create: ioctl(SIOCGIFFLAGS): No such device. For some reason, it can't open tun1, but I don't know why. If I try to rerun the translator (a second one) I get this error: hurd-developer:~/src/ppp# settrans -acp /tmp/foo /hurd/pfinet -i tun1 /hurd/pfinet: tun1: Device or resource busy settrans: /hurd/pfinet: Translator died I used the release of ppp 20010804. I've tried this, after upgrading some core packages: gnumach_20010818-1_hurd-i386.deb hurd_20010817-2_hurd-i386.deb libc0.2_2.2.4-1_hurd-i386.deb Thanks in advance. -- Saluti / Regards Diego Roversi | diegor at maganet.net | diegor at tiscalinet.it
