A few specific questions that I'd like to get answered:

* Is my german usage of "the Hurd" (as described in section 1.2) something that can be agreed upon as "official"?
I think you should drop your extension on the meaning of "the Hurd" in German, as it loses its recursive meaning through the translation.
* Is "von _der_ IEEE" correct, or must it be "von _dem_ IEEE"?
I think "von der IEEE" should be all right
