* [Jeff Bailey] > Hmm - I wish there was some easy way of knowing when to do this or not -
There is. It's called the Mail-Followup-To header, and it's supported by an ever increasing number of MUAs (including newer Mutt and Gnus). For a short intro/rant by the ever cuddly DJB: <URL: http://cr.yp.to/proto/replyto.html > > I always 'g'roup reply (in mutt) so that everyone gets it. Since people have a choice of setting "MFT: <list of everyone but me>" in their headers, I like to understand failing to do this as asking to receive a copy. (OK, the fact that hitting F and not editing to and cc is the least work probably weighs in, too :) > I also happen to like the duplicates, since a mail address to me goes > in my inbox, whereas the one with the list headers gets filtered into > the right folder so I can follow the thread. Ditto. This makes it easier to notice that someone replied to your list posting, even if you don't check the list folder that often.
