debootstrap and crosshurd are available for ppc. GNU is not yet (missing Glibc/Hurd/Mach combo), but that's being worked on. IIRC a minimal GNU system for powerpc does work already. It just lacks features in the Hurd and hasn't been debianised. -- Robert Millan
