It had to be changed to root=device:hd1s6 (grub-mkconfig is not creating correct configurations). grub2 version is 1.97+20091210 (sid version). But now ./native-install is not working because root filesystem is mounted read-only ./native-install sh: start_pipeline: pgrp pipe: Address family not supported by protocol ./native-install: line 16: /dev/null: Read-only file system ./native-install: cannot make pipe for command substitution: Address family not supported by protocol Checking if the filesystem is really writeable.. failed to identify system and there is no /etc/fstab /dev just has MAKEDEV Any ideas to get native-install to run? or is crosshurd not a good way to install GNU/Hurd anymore? - Praveen -- പ്രവീണ് അരിമ്പ്രത്തൊടിയില് <GPLv2> I know my rights; I want my phone call! <DRM> What use is a phone call, if you are unable to speak?
