This is probably just pure luck. There are known issues unrelated to the
driver in netdde, probably caused by the condition/mutex code which was
reused from a previous version of libpthread. In particular, see the
various TODOs and FIXMEs in libddekit [1]. These should probably be
reworked to use the libpthread facilities directly.
