I think everyone with even a mild interest or just curiosity in hurd is in dept to you and the effort you have put in to keep the hurd going for all these years. Perhaps you were not looking so much for a thank you, but just for more help. But the dept I mentioned above is not easy to repay. Meaningful help requires considerable level of technical knowledge, some people might be willing to learn and have a go, however mentoring is not abundant, and unfortunately often comes back to you. I think some of the traffic on the mailing lists are from people who are curious and perhaps trying to find a way to get involved, but I can see how the whole thing can be so overwhelming. My own small involvement indeed comes from a wish to contribute in some small way to a project I find interesting and in dire need for human resources. But I'm mostly a user, my skills are rather limited, I don't program in C, and I don't know what an inode is. Anyway, I mostly wanted to wish you a nice day. João
