Before the sarge release, I already imagined to setup another level to "D-I" translations (though nothing really related to D-I indeed).
The intent is grouping there all translations which are of some importance in a default *desktop* install: -packages from the desktop task which prompt users while they're installed -native Debian packages for which l10n is important for the desktop task Translation of desktop environments and software (Gnome, KDE, OO, Mozillas) is out of scope here because it is supposed to be handled in these environments development and l10n teams. At this moment, I have a very short list for this level: -menu I also intend to add x.org debconf things (x.org will certainly be the default X packages for etch) but I first need to identif what is to be translated there. Dennis, could you already prepare an addition to the d-i l10n framework for this? menu is handled in CVS on alioth. My checkout line: CVS_RSH=ssh cvs -d [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cvsroot/menu co menu The files are in po/.
