(hint hint Javier) Dear maintainer of euro-support and Debian translators,
On 09 oct 2006 I sent a notice to the maintainer of the euro-support
Debian package (yes, you, Javier...:-)), mentioning the status of at
least one old po-debconf translation update in the BTS (bug #313594).
I announced the intent to build and possibly upload a non-maintainer upload
for this package in order to fix pending l10n and related issues.
The package maintainer did not respond in a week so I will proceed with the
NMU.
The NMU indeed involves removing a debconf note that is redundant with
the package documentation AND description, as suggested in #388892
So, no l10n update would be needed.
If the maintainer objects to this process I will immediately abort my NMU.
Otherwise the following will happen (or already has):
09 oct 2006 : send the first intent to NMU notice to
the package maintainer.
16 oct 2006 : post a NMU announcement to debian-i18n with you
(maintainer) CC'ed
18 oct 2006 : build the package and upload it to DELAYED/2-day
send the NMU patch to the BTS
20 oct 2006 : NMU uploaded to incoming
21 oct 2006 : NMU enters unstable
Thanks for your efforts and time.
