Hi Holger,
Thanks a lot for the information. I'm really grateful. I noticed the
build error and was planning to understand what caused it. So your mail
helped a lot.
I completed the translations and send them to the Debian Turkish
Translation group for reviews, after waiting a week, they'll be ready to
publish.
As Turkish being a (very) agglunative language, we always need to add
suffixes. Actually I can change "*Debian Belgelendirme Projesi*nin Git"
as "*Debian Belgelendirme Projesi*'nin Git", and there would be no problems.
I'm going to have to check other similar things too.
Next week, after the period of review is complete, I guess I'm going to
need to perform a Merge Request to add Turkish translations to the
Debian system.
Thanks a lot and regards,
Nuri KÜÇÜKLER

Thank you very much Holger,
The translations are started. See you about in a month.
I see that you have Turkish at 100% translated, but the build fails.
I have looked into the build error, and I see lines like
"Yükseltme öncesi ve sonrası paket veritabanınızın durumu: **dpkg**’nin"
"Notları'nın kaynak kodları *Debian Belgelendirme Projesi*nin Git"
in your translation, so there is no blank after the closing asterisk
(this is different as in English).
While the first (**dpkg**’nin) works, the second (*Debian Belgelendirme
Projesi*nin) breaks the build.
If this intended like this (so not a typo, and you want the "nin" directly
after the asterisk):
Apparently no letters are allowed directly after the asterisk, but some
other characters (like the ') are allowed.
I found, that you can add a backslash after the asterisk, and then it
works, like here:
*Debian Belgelendirme Projesi*\nin
So you will have to change it this way, to make the build succeed.
I hope this will help you
Holger

Hi Holger,
Thank you for the information. I produced the .po files, forked the project on
salsa, and started translating them.
Is there a deadline for the translations? I guess I'll finish them in a week,
but I'd need a few weeks more if I submit them to Debian Turkish Translation
mail list and wait for the reviews.
Ideally the translations are ready, when Trixie gets released.
But there is no release date announced yet, so no fixed deadline, but a month
should be no problem, I guess.
