There are two important thing. Be sure you are using procmail v3.14 or newer. Prior versions didn't support maildir. And you need a trailing / to indicate a maildir-style folder. If it is missing, procmail assumes an mbox-style folder. Each maildir folder needs a new, cur and tmp subdirs or procmail barfs.
