You probably have a setting in your exim.conf such as:

sender_host_reject_relay = yourdomain.com

And the IP address your client is trying to use probably doesn't have a
reverse DNS lookup, and this fails the above check. Either (quick fix)
disable the check above, or (proper fix) check your DNS setup.
