Magari i problemi sono altri, eg: il bios e' pre-2000 (o 2001, nonpre-2000, ma comunque questo è nuovo di stecca, supporta anche il power on da tastiera e mouse ;)

grazie ho risolto il problema degli errori su IRQ mettendo sulla riga di grub acpi=noirq e passando alla modalità NATIVA, gli errori avevano questi handlers:
2) devi configurare il tuo bootloader indicando che vuoi attivare l'acpi.=
Se non ricordo male:
* con grub devi aggiungere acpi=on in fondo alla riga del kernel
* con lilo devi aggiungere una riga con acpi=on
