Hi all, I must share we you all my joy because I reach a big step: I succeded to install X on my old Workstation HP9000/710 (50MHz PARISC processor, 64M RAM, 1GB SCSI HDD, SCSI DDS2, 4x SCSI CDROM, 19" Monitor). I used (obviously) a HPPA Debian GNU/Linux 0.9.3 rc6 downloaded from the http://www.parisc-linux.org and I, in a second time, replaced the previously compiled kernel (2.4.9) with a precompiled exaustive 2.4.18-pa56 version. I placed some modification on the XF86Config-4, installed framebuffer usefull tools and ... that's it!!!
I am so proud I absolutely state: DEBIAN RULES!!! Thanx for you attention [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- <<Unix IS user friendly... It's just selective about who its friends are!>> -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
