Pentium2 quale kernel?

Secondo voi ottengo risultati "considerevoli" se compilo un kernel2.4 
(anziche' 2.6) su un pentium2 con 196Mb di ram e un disco da 20 Gb usato 
come server?

ssh, web, pop3 e smtp, samba (a basso traffico)
