Well, I'm not focusing on Debian - I'm actually currently using Red Hat.
My goal is to make Java cool in GNU generally, and GNU/Linux specifically.
I just think the Debian policy is a good starting place, and these
lists may be good places to try to work out these issues.
I notice you didn't cc [EMAIL PROTECTED] This is the gcj discussion
list, and as I'm personally quite interested in a standard for
installing gcj-compiled code, I would like to keep the gcj people in
the discussion. (Personally, I would like to see gcj become the
default free Java implementation for GNU/Linux. People seem to be
sadly unaware of it, including that it *does* include a VM, yet is
really coming together well now.)
