Yes, I do mean "$@". Bad fingers. Bad, bad. Thanks for the
correction.
Inserting and/or modifying does get complex; shift and unshift
and modifying IFS quickly become instrumental. Overall, it's
more hassle than it's worth, which is why perl is a good
alternative. :-)
