I am not how or why, but I think your issue is: [ -f libjvm.so ] || { ln -s libjvm.so libjvm.so; ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ ln -s libjvm.so.1 libjvm.so.1; }; \ ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ (Spacing slightly modified).
