Key Responsibilities * Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications * Supports and/or installs software applications * Focuses on developing and maintaining applications used in the internationalization and localization of Red Hat Enterprise Linux * Writes and modifies applications to support internationalization features * Implements and maintains applications specific to their native language, such as input methods * Performs native language specific quality assurance of Linux Desktops * Participates in weekly team meetings and coordinates activities with independent teams Requirements * Bachelor degree in Information Technology or Computer Science * At least 2-3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience * Ability to read and interpret technical documents * Ability to speak native language and business level English * Experience in developing Linux Desktop applications * Understanding and experience in object-oriented design and coding * Experience in developing applications for GTK/GNOME and QT/KDE * Knowledge of basic software engineering concepts, development models, testing and documentation Derek Bartlett Delivery Manager SMARTFORCE Solutions Direct: +61 (2) 8257-1762 www.smartforcesolutions.com Disclaimer: The information contained in any SMARTFORCE Solutions e-mail is confidential and is protected by the laws governing confidentiality.
