Something placed in /etc/menu will show up in a Debian section of one of the KDE submenus. Put it in /usr/share/apps/kappfinder/apps if you want it to show up in a users KDE menu after they run kappfinder. Put it in /usr/share/applnk if you want it to show up in the default KDE menu (everyone will see it). - Bruce
