Does anyone know of an expected resolution date for the bug whereby Kscd crashes if it accesses an online CD database to retrieve details of a previously unencountered CD ? (http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=214243)
After the crash, if Kscd is restarted then the retrieved data is now found to be available, and playing of the CD proceeds as normal. Comments on the related kde.org bugs indicate that not everybody sees the problem : http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=55976 http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=62981 but that a fix has been identified and applied to upstream sources (comment by Aaron Seigo dated 2003-08-19). I've been seeing this problem since about KDE 3.1.2 (not sure exactly) with the Woody debs - anybody else ? And I suppose ... without wanting to put any undue pressure on the packagers, any chance of getting the fix into the Woody 3.1.5 debs ? Cheers Nick Boyce Bristol, UK -- A.
