I was not aware of ~/.config/kde.org/elisa.conf

Why is it using two configuration files?

However, I now deleted both config files and ~/.local/share/elisa again 
and it still does not populate the collection.

Okay. For me it is in no way urgent.

For now I will use whatever media player will do the job and qmmp works 
well enough.
