Thank you for the comments. What I'm having most difficulty with is
finding debugging information when something goes wrong. For example,
KMail hangs as soon as I start it up requiring a force-quit. However,
I can't find anything in journalctl or the console indicating what
went wrong. So that defeats any attempts at filing a bug report. If I
knew how to identify failing components (for all I know, it could be a
configuration error), then that would be extremely useful for
everyone.

Suggestions?
