thank you for your efforts to address this issue! I'm only replying now because I was offline yesterday. It really looks like the bug report you found also covers my issue as the settings for my external monitors are also not saved as described in the report. I forgot to mention this in my mail yesterday. I know everyone is very busy these days so I can really wait for the regular update to 5.26.1. Until then, I'm in good hands with the latest 5.25 plasma. All that matters to me is that a cause for this issue has been found. Quick note on "why X and not Wayland": I need my system at work (university) and so far X still seems to be a bit more stable than Wayland. But things are moving and so I will definitely test Wayland during the next longer lecture-free period. Despite the stability, I also like some X-only features using synaptics and evdev, like inertial/kinetic scrolling and so on. I haven't followed the development of libinput for a while, so I don't know if these features are already implemented there. But I also remember some blog posts/emails pointing out that these features will never be part of it. Let's see what's coming... I'll definitely pay more attention to the development of libinput and Wayland again. Thank you again and have a nice day! Volker
