I'm running Debian/Forky on an AMD64 system. I use Dolphin with the
Details view mode.
I had been hoping this was a temporary aberration and normal
operations would resume when a library was updated. However, I'm am

for some reason.
This looks like [1] even if the use case is slightly different.
The bug mentions a workaround that I'm copying here in case it can
help :

This is in Settings -> Configure Dolphin -> View - Details - Open
files and folders: I have this set to "By clicking on icon or name"
Make sure you have that option, it should allow the behavior you're
expecting.

Thanks. That worked. Possibly they added that as a new option but had
it default to the new behaviour rather than the old behaviour.
And another one. Yesterday my "editable location bar" stopped being that
way. No matter how many times I set the view to be editable, it kept
reverting a bread crumb trail. This one now has to be set in Settings ->
Configure Dolphin -> Status & Location bars. The View setting is now
just a temporary override.
