Hi Magnus, First up, can you make sure you have the latest 2.4.27-2-686, that is 2.4.27-8, not 2.4.27-7 which had a small apic patch missing that mayed a lot of hardware go haywire. Secondly, after you have done that, and if things aren't happy on 2.4.27-8, then can you try booting with acpi=off.
