I just upgraded the kernel on the machine in question to the kernel found at <URL:ftp://ftp.skolelinux.no/debian/pool/main/l/linux-2.6/linux-image-2.6.12-1-686_2.6.12-2_i386.deb>, and the airo driver worked there too. :)
