Package: src:linux Version: 4.17.8-1 Severity: important Tags: upstream Dear Maintainer,
After upgrading from linux-image-4.16.0-2-amd64 to linux-image-4.17.0-1-amd64, my computer's sound card exhibits an audible and annoying pop or click when an audio stream is about to play or stop playing. The pop/click was not present with earlier kernels. Turning off power saving with options snd_hda_intel power_save=0 power_save_controller=N as per Redhat bug 1525104 [1] works around the problem (no pop/click).
