Please ad the 3w-xxxx which is the driver for the commonly used 3ware
(P)ATA RAID controller to the list of modules that get loaded automatically
because else it won't boot so well...

The initrd image is built for your system when the kernel
image is installed. It is cusomised for your system, and
thus can't be shipped as a binary. You can modify how
mkinitrd generates this image using the files in /etc/mkinird
And you can manually re-create the initrd image by invoking
mkinitrd on the command line.
