One thing we might do here from Debian side is the following: Please provide full boot logs in both variants. I understand that the sytsem freezes, if that is a complete system freeze and the ssytem is not accessible anymore via network to gather the log, then pease use a netconsole. Once we have both boot logs we could have a look on spotted differences. Regards, Salvatore
