Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?
Debian installed with low re monitor - all OK. Switched monitor + higher
resolution & errors started to appear
   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
I tried the following kernel parameters:
i915.enable_fbc=1/0
i915.enable_psr=0
i915.enable_guc=3
i915.enable_dc=0
intel_idle.max_cstate=1/2/4
intel_iommu=igfx_off
Some seemed to work for a while, but not after a period of time

Updated the Kernel from 6.12.63 to 6.17.13 - no difference

Full output from
sudo journalctl -b | grep -i "hdmi\|drm" | tail -n 100

   * What was the outcome of this action?
   * What outcome did you expect instead?
So there seems to be plenty of info on the internet suggesting this is a known
issue, & suggesting the kernel parameter 'tweeks' as well as some BIOS
suggestions, but after 2 days of trial I am no further along the line.

To be clear, the only thing I have found that helps is to reduce the screen
resolution:-
 screen resolution (output via HDMI to lenovo 32")
 3840-2160 @60 Bad
 2560x1440 @60 Bad
 1920x1200 @60 seems ok

As it stands my only option seems to be to go back to my (very old) fedora/mate
system.

Thanks for any help & I hope this can be resolved before I have to simply bin
my hardware.

Keith
