Answer is yes to both of your questions. It is kinda hard to explain but mainly I will be working on my computer when I notice that the average frequency will be pegged at the top (4.4ghz in my case), If I open system monitor I will see these 3 processes at the top of the list. This may last for a few minutes and then my computer will go back to idle. Also when using browsers, both Brave and Firefox, depending on the website I will notice high CPU usage, such as scrolling through facebook but not limited to that website. I installed the nivida drivers and this took care of the problem in the browsers at least. I didn't use it long with the Nivida drivers because it causes other problems that are much worse. Basically If I wake the screens from the off state, I get a black screen with a mouse but no picture. I can move my mouse over the password box and type it in blind, hit enter and wait. Sometimes it will load the desktop, but more often than not I needed to reboot to get to the desktop. ( I think this is a KDE problem. ) I am currently on the 6.17 Kernel from backports, but this did not help any of this.
