Hello,

I have been daily driving Debian on my home PC and recently decided to also
use it on my work laptop for university. The laptop is an ASUS TUF F15,
which requires additional software to fully support all of its hardware
features.

I have successfully compiled and used asusctl, and basic functionality
works as expected. However, some features depend on additional kernel
support, such as the ASUS Armoury-related drivers. From my understanding,
this has been upstreamed into the current kernel release. I'm hoping this
will likely be added when debian 14 releases and i hope the fan control
packages from the git repository are added among the present packages or
later lts releases.

I wanted to ask about the current status of this work from Debian’s
perspective, and whether there is anything recommended in the meantime
(such as backports, experimental kernels, or documentation I may have
missed).

Thank you for your time, and for your work on Debian.

Best regards,
Mina

Here's the link for the repo I was talking about.
