Dear maintainer:
I have additional information, which I hope is helpful.

I have three Wi-Fi to USB adapters that use the ath9k firmware, and all
three suffer the "Message Too Long" failure with Debian 13.7 and linux
6.12.113. In addition, although I generally promptly reboot after
encountering this problem, in a few cases the system has frozen within
a few seconds or a few minutes of plugging in one of these adapters.

The adapters I tried:
ThinkPenguin TPE-N150USB
ThinkPenguin TPE-N150USBL
ThinkPenguin TPE-NUSBDB

The first two use the AR9721 chip set. The third is a rebranded
Panasonic N5HBZ0000057. It is a bit more complicated than the others,
using both AR7010 and AR9280 chip sets.

Thank you
