Package: linux-2.6
Severity: important
kernels beginning with 2.6.16 have typo in their sources, wich causes
usb modem detecion to fail. kern.log says:
usb 3-1: new full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 2
usb 3-1: no configuration chosen from 1 choice
the solution is to replace
#ifndef CONFIG_USB_NET_RNDIS_HOST
with
#ifndef CONFIG_USB_NET_RNDIS_HOST_MODULE
in drivers/usb/core/hub.c -- for 2.6.18
or in drivers/usb/core/generic.c -- for 2.6.20.x
i hope that etch wont be shipped with this silly error aint fixed
thanks you in advance!
