Your bug report is for firmware-linux. If you have not installed it, clearly you have not found a bug in the repackaging of the firmware but in the code added to the mga DRM driver for the missing-firmware case. Please confirm whether or not you have installed firmware-linux. If not, please install it and report whether 3D acceleration works again. Ben.
