Additional testing information:
- Setting BIOS IDE mode to "IDE" does not solve the problem. It does
reproduce a bit more random, but it does happen if the transferred data is
large enough.
- Re-tested with Ubuntu 9.04, with latest updates: Same Problem happens.
- To rule out memory issues: memtest86+: no issues. Passed successfully
- Power supply is brandnew and an "A" brand (Cooler Master). It is not
overloaded. Measured this at AC.
- Installed Windows 7 (64 bit). Sofar, no issues found, and already
transferred 500GB+ data. (with Debian it crashes typically below 20GB
transfer)
Any settings to play with to make this problem disappear?
