I am not one of the maintainers for initramfs-tools, just a user who happened to notice this bug report. But as a temporary circumvention, you may be able to work around this problem by listing the extra modules you need in /etc/initramfs-tools/modules. I was able to circumvent a similar problem by doing this. (See bug report 588452.) -- .''`.
