r8192se_pci.ko is produced by the out-of-tree rtl8192se driver made available by Realtek. Its included makefiles installed the module to that location. As this driver is not supplied in Debian kernel images, you would need to recompile/reinstall the module for use with Linux 2.6.39. > lspci lists: > 03:00.0 Network controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8191SEvB > Wireless LAN Controller (rev 10) A mac80211 driver (rtl8192se) supporting your device (PCI ID 10ec:8172) will be part of Linux 3.0. For testing purposes, packages of 3.0 release candidates are currently available in experimental; firmware-realtek (>= 0.32) is also required.
