Hi, just came across the same issue.
Luckily linux-image-2.6.32-5-686 from squeeze was still installed. An update of initramfs using "update-initramfs -u -k 3.2.0-4-486" while running 2.6.32 appears to have solved the problem. I've not modified /etc/initramfs-tools/modules (file is still empty). (dm-crypt based installation was initially setup using Lenny d-i) I don't think #678636 is related.
