Ben, any idea why this users mouse is not correctly detected during boot? Might this be a kernel problem?
Martin, do you have a custom initramfs without hid-generic? If you don't have MODULES=most in /etc/initramfs-tools/initramfs.conf, could you rebuilt your initramfs with that option set?
