Actually there's one more option - netboot, use Partition Magic to resize your win2k partition and create new partitions for linux, then netboot->install. AFAIK scsi zip-drives are also bootable, don't know if the USB zip-drive uses the scsi emulation that's required for booting (parallel zip-drives don't).
