Does anybody know if grub can boot a kernel from an ext3 rootfilesystem,
( with a /boot directory) - or if it's necessary to have an ext2 /boot partition then ?
Didn't found anything explicitly in the docs...
As an ext3 filesystem can be mounted as ext2, I would think grub wouldn't care. It would just treat it as ext2. Of course, I haven't actually tried it...
