G'Day ! Which window manager are you using ?
I use the default settings in fvwm2, and when I start X I get a very similar screen. Have you tried playing with the mouse or keyboard buttons ? fvwm2 uses a pop-up menu to launch applications, including xterm. cheers, Jim Parker Sailboat racing is not a matter of life and death .... The x system is still not configured right, however. When I type startx I just get a blank, grainy screen. If you don't have a window manager installed, (perhaps by default WindowMaker?) you can input ids and passwords all day, but you won't get anywhere. <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
