hello list,
i'm trying to setup the internal modem of my toshiba tecra 8000.. it's a
winmodem, i've downloaded the supported debian package for my kernel
(2.2.18pre21) and am attempting to install it. however when i run:
dpkg -i ltmodem-2.2.18pre*.deb
i receive the following errors:

find: /lib/modules/*/kernel/drivers/char/: No such file or directory
find: /lib/modules/*/ltmodem/: No such file or directory
Deleted device node /dev/ttyLT0
Lucent DSP modem device node support removed
depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.2.18pre21/misc/lt_modem.o

then it fails to install lt_modem.o and lt_serial.o in the
/lib/modules/2.2.18pre21/misc folder. can anyone tell me what's going wrong
here? i'm pretty much a newbie so any help would be much appreciated!
