I have a T22 too
(1024x768 screen; think there is a higher rez model too though)
I upgraded sarge to etch fine a few days after etch went stable.
xorg X11 works great. But I read the instructions first, and followed
them. Main regression I've noticed was hibernate fails to restore
properly (but that's another story).
My xorg.conf is attached (note gb keyboard). Might be useful.
