Thanks for the analysis. Ok, I'll forget about using MTL. Looks like the
project isn't very active anyway (possibly because it is non-free :-)) and
Blitz++ (which is in Debian) does the same kind of thing and is better.
BTW, what does `another unfortunate example of "license NIH"' refer to?
