Hi! I'd like to ask what to do if upstream uses GNU GPL for software distribution and violates it?
It seems to me that ejabberd upstream violates GPL distributing binary installer (see [1]). There are two problems with it: 1) It doesn't correspond to the released sources (at least it's clear that installer includes additional modules which aren't in the sources). 2) It can't be built from the sources (build scripts are missing), so even if I own an installer creator (which is proprietary by the way) I can't reproduce the binary. The sources itself are fine. So the questions are: Are my suspicions correct, and ejabberd upstream indeed violates GNU GPL, or am I wrong? If they are then which is the best action to do (Should we continue to distribute ejabberd and therefore promote it? Should I contact FSF with this question?)?
